We’ve opened again for our guests on 3 January 2012. In order to maintain our top quality standards, we used the last weeks of the old year for an extensive range of activities aimed at increasing comfort levels for our clients. Improvements include maintenance work in communal spaces, fresh sleep systems and new flat-screen-TV equipment.
In medical matters, too, we always keep pace with the latest developments. We’re starting the New Year with a number of new features:
- Underwater training equipment / Water therapy
Underwater exercise bikes and elliptical trainers are now available for guests to use in our indoor swimming pool. Water therapy uses the buoyancy of the water to support body weight, and the body benefits from the compression caused by water pressure and the cooling effect of the water. This works particularly well to relieve the joints. Water resistance can also be used to train the upper body.
- Aerolution
In our fitness tests and exercise check-ups we now use aerolution – this method of performance diagnostics maximises the benefit of exercise by measuring breathing and can be a very beneficial complement to your fitness training. Using only breathing patterns as a measure, there is now no need for a blood test or breathing equipment to measure results and maximise exercise potential.
- Electrotherapy – healing electricity
This process involves treatment of one or more body parts with different types of electricity. The blood supply to muscles is stimulated and the body’s metabolism is increased: this supports muscle regeneration, alleviates pain and loosens muscle tension.
