The first annual European HEALTH & SPA AWARD took place in Zell am See on Tuesday 9th June 2009 where Viva Mayr, the Centre for Modern Mayr Medicine, was awarded as Europe’s Best Medical Resort.
The award recognizes the excellence of spa hotels, health and medical resorts, treatments and products and its primary goal is to highlight trends in the wellness & health industry and to present outstanding performance in quality, service & product innovation.
On receiving the award Dr. Harald Stossier, Medical Director at Viva Mayr said: “We are very delighted to have been honoured by the Vienna Agency for Health & Wellness with this award which underlines our leading position as a medical resort in Europe.” He also commented: „We do not see ourselves as merely an up-market spa resort that addresses the theme of health superficially.
